Description

ShifaNest Tukhm-e-Balanga (تخم ملنگا / تخم بالنگو) are the dried seeds of Lallemantia royleana or Ocimum basilicum — known as Basil Seeds or Sabja seeds in South Asia. A beloved ingredient in Pakistani Ramadan drinks, sharbat, falsa, and lassi, these tiny black seeds form a cooling mucilaginous gel when soaked in water — providing excellent hydration and body-cooling effects during hot Pakistani summers. Tukhm-e-Balanga is rich in soluble fiber, Omega-3 ALA, and flavonoids. It significantly reduces appetite (natural weight loss aid), lowers blood sugar spikes after meals, soothes acid reflux, and promotes healthy digestion. A traditional cooling and detox remedy used across Pakistan, Afghanistan and the Arab world.
